Bad Design

After watching Mike Monteiro's video on design, and how it is our choice what projects we take on and what we allow through the design process, I stumbled across this little gem:

This screams bad design, and should not have been allowed to get through the design process.

I understand that Black & Gold have a strong brand identity, but this is a little ridiculous. In fact it is more than ridiculous, it is dangerous.

Yes, if someone uses cooking spray instead of fly spray they will just have very shiny/oily surfaces, but God forbid the fly spray was used as cooking spray, someone could become seriously ill or potentially die.

*Maybe if Black & Gold looked at reversing their colours for chemicals to help differentiate between them? Such as all chemical products being in black cans with yellow text? Or all bleach having Black labels as opposed to the yellow labeled vinegar?

We always need to be aware of what is it we are creating!
