Important Quote...?
As I have mentioned many times before, designers are responsible for what kind of products make it through the process - So, in a way, we can help people cast the right vote.
Designers are people too (obviously) and we need to make sure that our environmentally aware side doesn't just turn off when we leave the work place. We too, must do our bit in society to help keep this world beautiful. What vote will you be casting?
I think that sustainability, environmental awareness etc all begins at home - this is very much evident after completing 2 Permaculture Design Certificate courses, where many tips and tricks are learned not just in designing for the home but in optimising small efficiencies around power, water, temperature and more. Once small-scale behaviour change is achieved over time, it can translate to all areas of life, and becomes second nature.
